The International Conference in a Hybrid Mode (Offline and Online) is organized by the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka and International Institute of Justice & Police Sciences, Bengaluru, Karnataka, India in collaboration with South Asian Society of Criminology and Victimology (SASCV) and Saveetha School of Law, SIMATS (Deeemed to be University, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.

• For publication of revised papers with ISBN/ISSN: After the Conference, an expert committee will select quality papers based on the extended abstracts and presentation of the authors at the conference and revised papers (not exceeding 8000 words) will be invited from the selected authors, (Sufficient time would be provided to write) and will be published in an edited book volume to be published by a reputed publisher such as Taylor and Francis Group / leading Scopus Indexed Journals in Law.

• Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura (DOCCJ, USJP) The Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice, the first of its kind in Sri Lanka, emerged from the visionary efforts of late Senior Professor Nandasena Ratnapala nearly three decades ago. Initially integrated within the Department of Sociology and Anthropology, the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Degree in Criminology was pioneered, laying the foundation for a multidisciplinary exploration of crime, justice, and societal well-being. Under the guidance of Professor Ratnapala, the department expanded its offerings to include postgraduate degrees and diplomas, catering to professionals in law enforcement, criminal justice administration, corrections, and related fields. This growth culminated in the establishment of a separate department in 2016, within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura. Today, the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice stands as a beacon of academic excellence, offering specialized undergraduate and postgraduate programs and Diplomas to meet the evolving needs of society. With an emphasis on research, education, and practical application, the department continues to shape the next generation of scholars, practitioners, and policymakers dedicated to the prevention and control of crime, thus contributing significantly to the enhancement of public safety and social cohesion in Sri Lanka and beyond.
   

• International Institute of Justice & Police Sciences (IIJPS) (World’s Ist Institute of Excellence in Crime Science, Justice Science, Police and Security Sciences, a Non-Profit Academic Institute and an Independent Think Tank) established by Lombroso Education and Services (OPC) Pvt Ltd (Registered under Companies Act, Government of India) and sponsored by Appa Education and Research Foundation (AERF) is a Not-for-Profit Academic Institution & Independent Think Tank headquartered at Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. IIJPS is founded by Professor K. Jaishankar in 2022.

• South Asian Society of Criminology and Victimology (SASCV) is an International registered association (Registered Academic Society (NGO), Register No: 83/2009 under Tamil Nadu Societies Registration Act, 1975, founded by Professor K. Jaishankar in 2009 to serve as an international impartial, non-political and non-profit making association whose purpose is to promote Criminology and Victimology in countries such as Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Pakistan, Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka.
